Artist Statement

Mystery resides in the abstraction of objects, which is what drew to me to photograph the series, Water Colors. The literal is beautiful and somewhat perfect, however, the abstract is imperfect and its beauty resonates with humanity, with all its flaws and magnificence. While I sat high on a rock in the Sierras, the trees stood tall in full color and with the water, wind and sky at play; I witnessed a symphonic vision that only nature could create on a lake as its canvas.
