The Life and Art in Naked Trees
Watch the stars in their courses and imagine yourself running alongside them. Think constantly on the changes of the elements into each other, for such thoughts wash away the dust of earthly life.

Wow! So many months since my last post and now it’s almost summer! After a year or so, I finally have arrived at a place to share my new collection of work, “Naked Trees.” I rarely post any images from this collection on social media so I wanted to share a few pieces with you here. This has been a very self-reflective and productive year… new website and new work. It’s been such an amazing journey, experimenting and landing in a place that feels in alignment with my love for all things nature. I’ve embedded a bird in every piece of work in this collection. Though many of the trees are expressions of winter, a time. when they are bare and dormant, the birds represent the life that is still present. For me, this is a metaphor… for when I go inside and retreat and think about where I’ve been and where I’m going. Maybe my production slows, but the process of stopping, ( and for that IS a process) is the very thing that opens up my mind and creativity. I infuse essential oils in the paint to enhance the experience of each piece. |

The 3 x 3 Naked Trees have been so fun to create. My new collectors pick out one they love when they purchase a piece. You can see more of them HERE.![]() ![]() ![]() |
I’ve had some photographs selected for exhibitions and will share those in future posts. For now, I wanted to reconnect with you, my subscribers and let you know about this new work and as always to invite you to respond and share your thoughts. Please feel free to reach out at any time, I’m always here to answer questions and discuss commissions…. and philosophy! (I’ve been reading books by Ryan Holiday and learning so much about Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus) Everyday I read an excerpt from The Daily Stoic. SO thought provoking, I highly recommend it. I hope you’ve enjoyed a little peek into this new work. You can see the whole collection HERE. Happy Spring and almost summer! I hope you get to be out in nature as much as possible… so good for the soul! ![]() Stay connected, Robbie |
