Infinity
If the infinity of the sea may call out thus, perhaps when a man is growing old, calls come to him, too,
from another infinity still darker and more deeply mysterious;
and the more he is wearied by life the dearer are those calls to him.
Henryk Sienkiewicz

I grew up on the east coast, not too far from the ocean.
I knew from the time I was a little girl that the beach was a special place for me, always providing an instant good feeling.
Later in life, I would go to the ocean for answers. I’d take a notebook and write down pros and cons if I needed to make a decision.
When I lived in NYC I used to get up early in the morning, jump in my car and drive to Long Beach where I would get my run in on the boardwalk… in rain, sleet and snow, I’d be out there running.
I feel invigorated just writing about it.
I could clear my mind of distraction and still, to this day, when I leave the great wide ocean I feel as though I walk away with just a little bit more clarity then when I arrived.
There is something very freeing about looking out and not having my eyes fix on anything but the vast expanse of the ocean, the waves, the sky and as far as I can see…infinity.
Be Brave, Be Strong, Be infinitely YOU!
