I have always been inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s painting and, in particular, her exploration of sexuality through nature.
I spent a long time studying this work and realized that most of it was based on female anatomy, and I began thinking about
exploring similar territory with the male landscape.
I came to discover so many similarities between man and nature, those same similarities that are associated with O’Keeffe
and her flowers. I also realized that very few image-makers are creating work about male sexuality in an artful way.
Ultimately, the more I photographed, the more I was reminded that not only are we all one, but we are so closely related to
the natural world and all its textures.
